At the beginning of his visit to Iraq, Prof. Mohamed AYARI, president of the Tunisian Association of Digital Geographic Information and president of the Euro-Arab Union of Geomatics met, Mr. Tourhan Almoufti, the Iraqi Minister of Communications and discussed the issue of collaboration between the Tunisian and Iraqi institution and the ways of transferring the Tunisian experience in the field of e-administration as Prof. Mohamed AYARI clarified for the Minister the steps Tunisia has accomplished in this field.
Both parties discussed the subject of the conception of an Iraqi satellite. In general, they discussed the issue of the Iraqi development in the field of new technology and in particular the communications and space technologies. Finally, they talked about a combined scientific system based on the exchange of expertise and trainings in the field of the GIS used in the communications sector.
Prof. Mohamed AYARI has invited the Minister, Tourhan Almoufti to Tunisia to participate in the 7th edition of the international congress Geotunis, which will be held in Tunisia from April 08 to April 12 2013. For his part, the minister has accepted the invitation.
