Abstract
In this time and since the last two decades, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology has experienced explosive growth in many areas due to advances in computer hardware and software and the spatial technology especially Satellite Technology. GIS tools have traditionally been used for resource and asset management, market analysis, demographic studies, municipal planning, and even criminal investigation. More recently, environmental health and safety professionals have employed GIS tools to increase efficiency of environmental data management and industrial facility management.
